greetings all! fye is back from tekong. haha, yeah man! so hows everybody? i definitely miss my civilian life. i miss home. and i reaaaaaaally miss all of you. bet you guys wanna know how my first 2 weeks and 1 day in army was like eh? i'll just do it in brief cos i didnt actually write diary entries consistently during my stay there.
so, lets see... we had strength trainings with weights and medicine balls, our total 10km route march in full battle order (which means, with all the field pack and other heavy stuff on us. UGH!) completed, close combat training, the usual physical training lessons, running, and lots and lots of running and last but certainly not the very least, pumpings. hahaha. im doing fine in army. just kinda injured my knee but i guess its pretty normal. enduring the pain by the day cos its just so sickening to report sick in army. dont wanna be missing lessons! heh, cant believe i just said that. probably, the 'holiday' season in army's already over and next week onwards it'd be tough. i wouldnt know man, but so far, everythings good. seriously.
i thank God for my awesome commanders. they dont kill us for no reason and most importantly, they arent demons (if you get what i mean). two thumbs up! my bunkmates: bryan, sebastian, fariz, you jin, zhao wei, hao jun, edward, nicholas, aaron, benny and aaron aubrey (but we call him by his chinese name, qibo! since there are 2 aarons. haha!), forming section 4! nice people while some, with totally differing personalities but we're all trained to be mature and professional individuals to accept people for who they are since we cant exactly change them. the rest of the people in the platoon are nice chaps too! yet to get to know another quarter of the entire platoon of 50 people better though.
everyone's been asking me to post pics of my bald head. haha, no way man. firstly, i havent taken any photos. secondly, i dont think i look good bald. if youre lucky enough, we'll meet up then. haha, im gonna be busy this book out cos ive to get alot of stuff to make my stay in tekong more comfortable with all the essentials and extras. i cant deny i miss home but the stay in aint that bad at all. my company's facing the sea, and we can see changi airport from the window. almost every 3 to 5 minutes from morning till night, theres a plane flying above us. makes me miss home when i see those SIA planes flying just right above us. the breeze from the sea is really cool it makes me shiver in the night and when i get up at 0530 every morning! cold showers are nothing cos i dont really use the heater at home even since the heater isnt turned on when i shower everytime! hmm, what else? i'll guess i'll just add on later. im going out with my mom now. good morning everybody! have a great day ahead.
